Thanks to the generosity of Holly Creek residents and friends of Holly Creek, the community soon will have a peaceful reprieve from the distractions of daily life. On Sept. 25 at 1:30 pm the community will dedicate the new Quiet Waters Retreat, a converted first-floor lounge that offers residents, family and team members a place to activate their own personal spirituality.

The retreat, with its soothing water-wall feature (see artist’s rendering above), is the creation of the Spiritual Welfare Committee after they were approached by a resident who saw a need for a quiet space for reflection, meditation and prayer. The Quiet Waters Retreat is inclusive of all faiths and beliefs and was made possible by $50,000 in donations that funded the water-wall feature, new carpeting, furnishings, a privacy door and an innovative Soundwall consisting of flat-panel speakers made of artwork that will fill the room with rich, natural sound.
