Our evidence-based memory support program celebrates the whole person, their history and their potential for growth and engagement. We focus on possibilities rather than deficiencies, always with comfort and sincere care.
Memory support provides care for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or related dementias. Dementia is a general term that describes a group of symptoms, such as loss of memory, judgment, language, complex motor skills and other intellectual functions. Our team is trained as Leaders in Dementia Care, as recognized by the Alzheimer’s Association. We work to decrease anxiety and increase life enjoyment for residents and their families.
We offer Memory Support services in a day setting at our Adult Day Services, as well as in our two Assisted Living neighborhoods where discreet and dignified safety monitoring systems are utilized. We also have a unique skilled nursing Memory Support neighborhood for people with more complex needs requiring 24-hour nursing care. All of our Memory Care team members have completed the Leaders in Dementia Care training, as recognized by the Alzheimer’s Association.
Memory support should be talking about early, do not wait for a crisis, time and time again we see that people are most successful when becoming part of a program early in their disease process. We understand that memory support challenges impact the whole family; therefore we offer support and education to family members.
Our goal is to help families preserve their cherished relationships, removing the burden of care giving and worry.
