Deferred and Planned Giving

“I think it’s better to give than to receive, and I plan to give,” stated Clermont Park Resident Mitz Kurth after making his “planned gift.”

A planned or deferred gift is a generous way to further the mission of CLC. Most gifts are realized after your passing therefore maintaining your estate to support you during your life and often enabling you to leave your largest gift ever to organizations like CLC which are closest to your heart.

Here are ways to make a planned gift to CLC, several of which do not require the need or expense of an attorney.

Gift Type Your Benefit
Bequest in Your Will or Trust relief Assures family lifetime needs are met; estate tax
CLC Entrance Fee Refund Estate tax relief; accomplished through bequest in will without attorney through contract modification
CLC as Life Insurance Beneficiary Estate tax relief; no need for attorney
Charitable Gift Annuity gains Lifetime income; immediate tax deduction; avoid capital
CLC as Retirement Plan Beneficiary Estate tax relief; no need for attorney
Pay on Death Bank Account Estate tax relief; no need for attorney
Transfer on Death Securities Account Estate tax relief; no need for attorney

Here is sample will language. (Please consult your personal attorney. If you do not have an attorney, we are happy to provide you a list of attorneys offering a free initial consultation.)
