When life gets hard, having the support of someone who knows you matters a great deal. Serving across Clermont Park, Someren Glen, Holly Creek, and Dayspring Villa, CLC chaplains are active participants in community life. Relationships between chaplains and the residents, families, and team members they support are built in small, meaningful ways each day, reflecting citizenship in its truest form.

In 2025, chaplains completed more than 17,000 personal visits. Each one represents a moment of connection, where someone was known, valued, and cared for. Because of support for Chaplain Services, this care is not occasional. It is constant, expressed through presence, listening without hurry, quiet prayer, and the simple reassurance that no one is alone.

That same spirit of presence grows through Spiritual Life Committees. Residents help create spaces for reflection, conversation, and faith, ensuring spiritual life is not simply offered to the community, but shaped by the community. Together, chaplains and residents walk alongside one another through every stage of life.

Care extends beyond individual moments. Through partnerships like a grief retreat with the HeartLight Center and community conversations on end-of-life planning, space is created for honesty, healing, and connection.

This spirit of Citizenship also ensures every life is honored and remembered. Clermont Park, Holly Creek and Someren Glen a Room of Remembrance, where residents, families, and friends gather to celebrate those who have shaped their community. Candles are lit. Stones are placed in quiet reflection. Words like courage, laughter, friend, and mother surround each life remembered, simple expressions that speak to lives deeply lived and deeply felt.

This is what generosity makes possible: a community where people know each other and show up for one another, where every life is honored, and where no one is forgotten.

When life gets hard, chaplains are trusted providers of compassionate support and guidance. Your caring gift to Chaplain Services supports the chaplain team as they help older adults and their families find comfort and reassurance through life’s challenges.
