As a part of South High School’s “Living History” initiative, Veteran Residents of Clermont Park and high school students participated in a discussion regarding life during the World War II and Korean War eras. This discussion served as a unique educational experience that allows young people to relate human experience to major historical events, an important instance of inter-generational understanding in which Veterans and civilians who lived through the events of the mid-20th century were able to describe their everyday experiences to a group of youths who may have limited exposure to stories of everyday experience of the time.
This story was covered both in The Denver Post and on Fox 31.
