Our family is growing! As of November 1, Christian Living Communities (CLC), through its Cappella Living Solutions (Cappella) division, began the important work of providing management support to the Green House Homes at Mirasol located in Loveland, Colorado.

The Green House Homes at Mirasol provides skilled nursing care to 90 elders in nine smaller homes accepting private pay, Medicare, and Medicaid.

This new partnership was recently highlighted by the Loveland Reporter-Herald.

“This is a very special opportunity for us,” shared CLC President and CEO Jill Vitale-Aussem. “The Green House® model, created by Dr. William Thomas, founder of The Eden Alternative®, is a revolutionary approach to skilled nursing care based on three fundamental core values: Meaningful Life, Empowered Staff, and Real Home. It is truly an honor to have been selected for this important work and we look forward to learning as much as we are giving in this new relationship.”

The Green House Homes at Mirasol is owned by the Loveland Housing Authority whose mission is to provide low- and moderate-income residents of Loveland with opportunities for home and community through housing.

In seeking Cappella as a new management company, housing authority leaders wanted a partner who understood and could deliver person-directed care and services.

Jeff Feneis, Executive Director of the Loveland Housing Authority sees the change as an opportunity to refocus, “The Loveland Housing Authority cares about the residents, families, and associates at the Green House Homes. Making a management partnership change is part of our commitment to continually improve the services and care we provide. Over time, you will see an intentional refocus on our Green House model of person-directed, relationship-based care. We’re thrilled that CLC-Cappella already embraces the same principles in all their communities here in Colorado. Accessing our new network of elder-centered care communities will support our commitment to strengthening the programs in our Green House Homes.”

CLC-Cappella owns or operates nine other communities in Colorado and a home care serving the five county Denver metro area. To learn more about the CLC-Cappella family of communities and services, visit our communities page.

“We’ve always found great success working with mission-aligned, non-profit organizations, and we are developing a very collaborative relationship with the Loveland Housing Authority. The future is bright for increasing the number of person-directed care options for Colorado’s older adults,” adds Vitale-Aussem.
