What are Assisted Living Communities?

Assisted living communities provide older adults with a customized level of care primarily focused on activities of daily living (ADLs), such as eating, medication reminders, and personal hygiene. If you would benefit from support with daily living, but don’t require the high-level care of skilled nursing, an assisted living community may be a good fit for you.

The experienced, compassionate team members at CLC’s assisted living communities take the time to know each personal as an individual, going beyond understanding care needs to knowing their interests, passions, and dreams. In addition to offering supportive care, we strive to create a culture where each person is well-known and empowered to contribute to the daily fabric of life in their community in whatever way brings them purpose.

How to Pay for Assisted Living

Many different options are available to help pay for assisted living. It is important to first determine what you or your loved one may qualify for. Some common ways to pay for assisted living include veteran’s benefits, social security, long-term care insurance, life insurance, and Medicaid. You may also find that some assisted living communities offer all-inclusive pricing while others determine pricing based on the level of assistance needed.

Assisted Living vs. Skilled Nursing

Assisted living communities are designed to encourage residents to live as independently as possible, while offering customized support with day-to-day activities. If you need around-the-clock nursing care, wound care, medical monitoring, or therapy, a skilled nursing community may be right for you.
